I taste like Peanut Butter. I am one of the most blendable flavours; I go with sweet, I go with sour, I go with bland, I go with anything. I am practical and good company, but have something of a tendency to hang around when I'm not wanted, unaware that my presence is not welcome. What Flavour Are You?

As I mentioned here, a couple of (well-meaning?) interwebs guys proposed a Blogger Code of Conduct. And here, TNH discusses, in detail, what prompted this suggestion, and why it's not necessary. Since she's the first known source of disemvowelling as a (useful and successful) moderation device, she has some good points.

Moderation is not something I need to worry about much here (obviously) but for places I visit that do (such as Whatever and Making Light, and occasionally even less trafficked nihilistic_kid and jaylake it just ain't rocket science. Your blog is your home. You make da rulz.

I truly don't think this idea is necessary at all. Most bloggers I know are well in control of their blogs already, deleting hate speech or disemvoweling posters who have nothing constructive (and a whole of deconstruction) to add to a conversation.

I mean, seriously, are we in kindergarten?
